EU COHESION POLICY

It contributes to strengthening economic, social and territorial cohesion in the European Union.

It aims to correct imbalances between countries and regions.

It delivers on the Union's political priorities, especially the green and digital transition.

POST-2027

The years 2023 and 2024 are fundamental for implementing the 2021-2027 cohesion policy programmes, but also for preparing the future of these programmes.

Following the publication of the 8th Cohesion Report, the Commission established the Group of high-level specialists on the future of Cohesion PolicyThe group will reflect on the main challenges identified in the Report, from the innovation divide to demographic change.
