QATAR MONEY SCANDAL
Hell has broken loose on Monday in Brussels, with the troubling news of a corruption scandal. As reported by the ,Financial Times,
Eva Kaili, a Greek socialist who was EP's Vice-President, has been stripped of her responsibilities and party membership. Belgian authorities have seized €600,000 in cash at a suspect’s home, €150,000 at Kaili’s flat and “several hundred thousand euros” in a suitcase in a Brussels hotel room. As covered thoroughly by Politico, Kaili dismissed corruption allegations, as 10 other offices in Strasbourg were sealed. Allegedly, Qatar had an interest of influencing EU politics from last year, with the signing of Qatari Airways deal. Kaili was supposed to appear in court on Wednesday but could not comply because of a strike breaking out in the detention facility where she's being held. The Parliament has announced a plan, to be presented in January, to improve transparency laws for lobbies and MEPs.

This week, we look into a letter sent from prison by iranian activist Narges Mohammadi and a secret-diary project led by artist Saba Zavarei that collects information from women in Iran's cities - and an interview of the author below.
Where could one dig further this week if not Qatargate? Let's dive in with a profile of Eva Kailli and some considerations on the giant' behind the scandal, an on the corruption problem of the EU by Good Lobby president Alberto Alemanno.
